Christine (English)
BA in English Literature from University of New Brunswick.
Graduated with distinction and on the Dean’s List.
Christine is a writer and experienced English Language Arts tutor. She has prepared students for SSAT exams, and is skilled at teaching reading comprehension and reflection, vocabulary, and punctuation. She has helped students to write/edit persuasive essays and compelling stories, and develop an understanding and appreciation for poetry. Christine loves working with young children; empowering their curiosity and fostering a genuine love of learning.
Andrea (English)

Andrea is a graduate of Early Modern Drama with over twenty years of experience in tutoring English to ESL students and native speakers, both in Canada and internationally. She currently designs and teaches courses for private students while also marking for both Langara and Douglas colleges.
Andrea has helped students from middle school through graduate school with grammar, essay development, and literary studies. She has experience with students across a variety of disciplines, including art history, history, philosophy, sociology, and English.
Having taught and marked at the post-secondary level, Andrea has firsthand experience with these courses. Additionally, her private tutoring has familiarized her with these college and university entrance exams as well as IB English curriculum. She enjoys working with students and develops courses specifically around a student’s individual needs after a specialized assessment of the student.

Drew is a graduate from the University of British Columbia, and has previous experience teaching and tutoring students in English Language, Literature, and ELL. As a tutor, Drew has helped students with their school work, editing/proofreading essays, and writing in group settings, and one-on-one.
As a certified teacher in British Columbia, Drew is familiar with constructing curriculum, and putting students’ successes and achievements first. In a secondary school setting, Drew has taught creative, argumentative, expository, and literary analysis writing, along with studying novels, stories, and poetry.
Currently, Drew is an active Teacher on Call in the Richmond School District. Drew has first hand experience with teaching in a classroom setting, however, he always makes time to talk with students and aid them in whatever way necessary. Drew understands that each student is a unique individual with different learning styles. Therefore, he will work hard to ensure that each students’ needs are appropriately met.
